The presses that get listed separately here so that they have a special place.
It is hard to find them locally as they have a long life in the hands of people who make use of them.
With the slow revival of letterpress here in South Africa people are less inclined to dispose of them if they have any use of them.
These will typically be smaller presses that do not require specialised riggers to move but I may make mention of other larger presses that I can broker a deal on.
The most popular small press that one sees advertised are the various AdanA models. THe most common workhorse presses are the Heidelberg windmill platens, these come in a couple of sizes (and configurations, some diecutting types have no inking units so be careful), and price and condition will depend on age.
