Giant servo controlled Enlarger Lens

R3000.00

This is a Giant lens from a Noritsu analogue photo printer.
It was intended to enlarge from strip film, 35mm or 60mm onto photographic paper up to 24 inches wide. The lens hs a fixed critical focus that was set up with a vernier mounting thread. The servo motors are used to adjust the lens Zoom to change the enlargement factor (while keeping the lens in critical focus all the time). The control was with a small finger sized geared DC motor and a multityrn feedback potentionmeter that would allow for setting standard magnification ratios. The other servo was for aperture control that would allow for accurate manual framing and then stopping down for the optimum setting for any given negative density, enlargement ratio and print paper speed. The lens is huge, about 150mm diameter and 300mm long. It has a thread at the small end for mounting via a ring (available) to the frame of the printer. Focal length from 99 to 230 mm with aperture 1:8.
This would make an ideal Zone system :-) enlarger, for the geek type photo printer who wants to have full and easy control.
Price negotiable to a good home or interesting project.
